Although many people think Realtors and Agents are the same, there is a big difference. Realtors have to follow a set of rules or “code of ethics” as put forward by NAR (National Association of Realtors) whereas agents do not. A realtor must be a member of NAR and as a result follow the code of ethics. Both realtors and agents are licensed to sell real estate, however, it is in best interest to go with a realtor rather than an agent.
